The official Disney Princess lineup! Welcome Rapunzel!
Let me preface the upcoming thought by stating I adore Tangled and absolutely love Rapunzel. With that being said:
Call me conservative, a traditionalist, or even odd but I simply don’t like the idea of mixing a CGI princess with the traditionally animated ones.
It’s not too often that your mailman rings your doorbell with a Tinker Bell decorated box in his hands. So, when mine did today I was completely confounded. I surely hadn’t placed an order from the Disney Store, but my mom had. Inside were two collectible pins — both part of the 110th Walt Disney Legacy Collection — and a set of Disney Princess Designer Collection sticky notes.
One of the pins features Princess Aurora (in her Briar Rose get-up, my favorite!), Flora, Fauna, Merryweather and Maleficent framing a portrait of Walt Disney. Never has a pin featured so many wonderful things in one. As for those sticky notes: let’s just say Ariel and Tiana are already reminding me of this week’s obligations.
Thanks mom (and Mr. Mailman) for making this afternoon a magical one!
Look out boys I’m coming through!

Yesterday Anika Noni Rose (the voice behind Princess Tiana) was honored as a Disney Legend at the D23 Expo. After her induction I took to Twitter to congratulate her and look who tweeted me back! None other than Anika herself!
Thank you so much Anika, as I said in my tweet, “you & Tiana are revolutionary and inspiring” and your status as a Disney Legend is very much deserved!
